Hopewell’s Lemonade Stand Raises Funds For Breast Cancer Awareness

Home Care in Tallahassee FLHome-Care-in-Tallahassee-FL

If you entered Killearn Estates from Thomasville Road on Wednesday October 5, you might have noticed the nurses and staff at Hopewell In-Home Senior Care dressed in pink, wearing pink sunglasses, wrapped in pink boas, and waving at you. Hopewell and 80 other companies kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness month by selling pink lemonade in an effort to raise awareness and funds to help those affected by this disease.

Pink lemonade stands have been popping up in Tallahassee for several years in October since the Tallahassee Democrat made breast cancer awareness a focal point in our community. “Our home health aides and nurses have taken care of many cancer patients over the past 12 years. Therefore, we wanted to join our community and show support for those who may be dealing with the disease,” said Jami Eddy, Administrator of Hopewell.  “This was our first year participating, and it was so much fun that we are looking forward to doing it bigger and better next year!”
